With pharmacists playing an expanding role in the health care environment, comprehensive residency programs are vital to the advancement of the Pharmacy profession. For more than four decades, Kaiser Permanente’s Pharmacy Residency Programs have provided pharmacy graduates invaluable experience in a wide variety of settings within our integrated health care model.
Kaiser Permanente members receive care from approximately 5,000 pharmacists serving in hospitals, outpatient pharmacies, clinics, infusion centers, call centers, and central prescription filling facilities. Kaiser Permanente annually processes more than 72 million outpatient prescriptions and administers 48 million doses of medication in hospitals and clinics.
Pharmacy residents experience first-hand the commitment that Kaiser Permanente makes to the total health of our members. Our pharmacists often serve as a primary point of contact for members throughout the care delivery process. We take pride in providing care that is accessible and personalized to the individual needs of each patient.
